Hallo, I am I.T.E. Webster, West London based writer and resting theatre impresario (sort of). I write, produce and direct for Mixed Things Theatre (link coming soon), and will probably blog about the less formal aspects of the production process here. I am also planning to do posts about the writing and current projects and stuff. And finally actually join writing related communities.

(Finally having drafted a somewhat pretentious but accurate summary of myself, I present it to you, good Reader)

I'm coming to realise that being myself is okay, and this has taken at least three years. I'm a playwright, poet and writer, although I've never completed a novel so the title author still eludes me. I'm a larper, I play Firecat Masquerade's Winter in the Willows and Profound Decision's Maelstrom at the moment, and did play Coventry Zeitgeist until it finished.

I wanted to be an academic from the time that I realised they would let you write essays about Failed Paradises in Barry Lyndon and Lord of the Flies (I think I was thirteen), and wanted to be Mercutio from the first time I read the Queen Mab speech. Regarding Mercutio, I'm getting there and I'm starting to amass credits for an Open University degree, so I might eventually get a BA

I used Mixed Things, a Coventry based theatre company with my ex husband. Then life happened and I ended up husbandless in my home town, which I was kind of expecting to happen a bit later than when I was 21/22, but was a good learning curve.

I'm incredibly insecure, have a laundry list of mental health diagnoses and can be a tad touchy about mental health, feminism, queer stuff and trans issues.

I'm most likely to be blogging about life, writing, larp or quarter life crises. there are some filters, so poke me if you want to be added to say "scream", my oh my god my life is a mess filter, or the larp one.

I have lots of notifications switched off, so it's best to drop me a comment or pm upon adding me. I love LJ friends, so will probably add you back
Had I not fallen apart just before my A-levels were due, I would have been a Classicist. As it is I've forgotten pretty much all of my Ancient Greek apart from what's useful in etymology, and am ambivalent about learning it again. When I gave it up I was at the point of being able to read Sappho independently with a couple of reference books, and my Latin was much better. Middle English I can still do, because it is my favourite language and makes sense to me.
